Schallfeld Ensemble is one of the young ensembles most recognized in Europe and will perform at Festival Mixtur for the first time. Schallfeld was selected as young ensemble in residence by Ulysses network and will perform in Spain the following premieres: In the presence of absence by Elena Rykova, INPUT_PullUP by Emil Vijgen and eros-tans-tngi-ugog-celö-esel by Joan Gómez Alemany. The programme will be rounded off by Territorio interior by José María Sánchez-Verdú and three miniatures composed by students from the Composition and Sound Experimentation Workshop Mixtur 2022.
Schallfeld is a contemporary music ensemble based in Gaz (Austria). The ensemble has attracted the interest of international audiences due to its virtuosity and its refined chamber sound, as well as their attention to the concert formats that they seek to create a new dimension of listening.
Schallfeld has participated in festivals such as Wien Modern, Impuls, Klangspuren, Darmstadt, Afekt (Estonia), Romaeuropa, Signale (Graz) and Daegu Festival (South Korea), among others, and has been ensemble-in-residence in Darmstadt, Impuls, California San Diego University and Harvard University.
